I'm know I'm going to regret bringing this up but....
I'm curious that since TON has export to PDF functionality (can be accessed by any module actually) and that Swift Mailer has mail attachment functionality that it might potentially be more beneficial to send Newsletters as PDF attachments.
It might certainly help to counter problems where some email clients, or email client settings;
may not allow HTML
may not allow remote images
may not handle CSS correctly
may inandvertantly mark the email as spam due to a high number of href link

It might also be less code maintenance because there would be no need to to try and cater for specific email client behaviour.

Guardian,

Actually, attachments on an email will set off many more "flags" around spam as well as people will be very hesitant (or should be anyways) to open up ANY attachment.

I suppose it could be an option to upload a PDF document and send, but due to the reasons above, I'm not feeling really too excited about offering that feature. Smile
