Hi @ all !

I tapped the sitemap like i found here in an other thread and it works really great.
The only problem is that it doesn´t work for Downloads Why ?
The urls for downloads within the sitemap looks still like this example:

http://www.mysite.com/modules.php?name=Downloads&d_op=viewdownloaddetails&ttitle=CCleaner&lid=91

I don´t have a problem with my Download urls they are everywhere correctly rewritten but I quess I need to chance the code within shortlinks for the sitemap because its not up- to- date.

I use a previous version of Short Links but this shouldn´t make a difference I quess.

Susann, Downloads or NSN GR Downloads? I would assume NSN and I will have to research how I did this... but, too swamped at the moment. Maybe later next week?

You have to be using the NSN GR Download version of the nukeSEO Sitemap class and my special download/tap in the Downloads here for NSN GR Downloads. But, I am not 100% sure what else...

No problem Its not urgent.
Maybe I can find out in the meantime where the NSN GR Download version of the nukeSEO Sitemap class is.
I simple used the code from here:
http://montegoscripts.com/ftopict-94.html

and thought it would work.

Had you downloaded the extra NSN GR Download class from nukeSEO.com? I think it is an "Additional Content" area of Kguske's downloads.

No, I didn´t know that there is an "Additional Content".Thanks !
My sitemap worked 2 days and the tap by you worked great !
Today I rechecked the sitemap uploaded the new nsn gr content and there is now a fatal error.

Fatal error: Cannot instantiate non-existent class: seodownloads.php in /www/htdocs/xxx/modules/Sitemap/nukeSEOfunctions.php on line 57

Don´t know since when exactly.

I ´m not in the mood to find out why with my migraine. So I ´ll not touch this within the next time.

Susann,

Sorry to hear of your migraine. My father used to get those all the time and so do my sisters. Awful stuff.

I checked into my sitemap content and here is the main code from my modules\Sitemap\content\Downloads.php script:

Code:

if(!defined('ADMIN_FILE') and !defined('MODULE_FILE')) { header("Location: ../../../index.php");  die(); }

class seoDownloads extends searchmodule {
    function seoDownloads(){
        global $prefix;
        $this->name                  = 'Downloads';
        $this->module                = 'Downloads';
        $this->sql_table_with_prefix = $prefix.'_nsngd_downloads';
    }

    function formatGoogleResult($result){
        global $url;
//MS_044:BEGIN
//      return $this->formatGoogleURL($url['host'].$url['path'].'?name=Downloads&op=getit&lid='.$result['rid']);
        return $this->formatGoogleURL($url['scheme'].'://'.$url['host'].$url['path'].'?name=Downloads&op=getit&lid='.$result['rid']);
//MS_044:END
    }
    function formatSitemapResult($result)
    {
        return '<a href="modules.php?name=Downloads&amp;op=getit&amp;lid='.$result['rid'].'" title="'.htmlspecialchars(chopwords(strip_tags($result['desc']),192)).'">'.htmlspecialchars($result['title']).'</a>';
    }
    function doquery(){
        global $prefix, $tblname, $db;
        $q = $this->query[0][1];
        foreach ($q as $query){
            $db->sql_query('INSERT INTO '.$tblname.'
                        (`id`, `relevance`, `date`, `title`, `rid`, `desc`, `author`, `searchmodule`)
                        SELECT CONCAT("Downloads", `lid`) AS `id`, \'1\', UNIX_TIMESTAMP(`date`),
                             `title`, `lid`, `description`, `submitter`, "Downloads"
                        FROM '.$prefix.'_nsngd_downloads
                        WHERE ((title like \'%'.$query.'%\')
                             OR (description like \'%'.$query.'%\'))');}}}

Maybe it can help.

Thanks montego

this sitemap issue is solved.
But the next step would be to upgrade Short links and I´m afraid to do this. Anyway I don´t use Submit Downloads. So it doesn´t matter and I just use whats works now.

I don´t have often migraine but if you look 10 hours non-stop at the code its clear you will get health issues in the one or other way. Wink

It looks like the sitemap doesn´t update.
Strange behavior. Rolling Eyes
What could be the problem ?
I used modrewrite and my sitemap is a sitemap.html
Google found no errors.
Within the block modules. php its called sitemap but it points to submit.html
Shouldn´t be a problem or ? Only admins can view this block.
I use my own block navigation instead.

Ok, I am very confused. Are we still only talking about the Download module, and specifically, the NSN GR Download module?

If the answer is "yes", then the following is possible and you need to check:

When NSN GR Downloads is installed, it takes a copy of the data that was in the core nuke download tables and puts them into the new nsngd equivalent tables as a starting point (to make sure you don't lose any download data). However, it leaves the old core nuke download tables with their data in-tact.

Therefore, one possible explanation for the download data not updating within your sitemap, is that you might still be using the old Download sitemap content class rather than the NSN GR Download one. That would explain why any new downloads that you add using NSNGD are not showing up in the sitemap.

I cannot explain the "sitemap but it points to submit.html". That does not make any sense to me. It just sounds to me like you have the wrong link for the sitemap????

E.g. the new forums posts don´t display at the sitemap.
Don´t know about the behavior of NSN Gr Downloads because I didn´t submit new downloads.
I quess I don´t have wrong links I only need to modify also within
Short Links the GTB- block- modules.php.
"sigh"

Please try this with ShortLinks turned off and let us see if your forum posts show up. (I just want to rule out ShortLinks for now.)

If you are still having the issue then with the sitemap not updating, I'd suggest posting over at kguske's site under the nukeSEO forum to get the expert involved. Wink

I am sorry Susann, but I am having a very difficult time following you on this. I really don't know what isn't working vs. what is. I am sure that it is just my brain cells being fried from stress... maybe try again to explain what you have installed vs. not and what is vs. what is not working?

No proplem. It works like it should. Tthe number of indexed sites is around one third of several thousands.
But I know there is no guarantee that all submitted sites will be indexed by Google and because I still use the original meta.php there is possible a handicap wich I should try to solve.
