Feel free to post questions regarding this hack and/or even new block file $urlin/$urlout statements and .htaccess file rewrite statements for other to benefit from.

Just for clarification, this hack will alleviate the need to use those tiresone GT_block-xx.php files in the blocks folder?
And this works with GT NG 4 (as against 4a)? |

That is correct. Instead, you create a GTB-<<blockfile name>> "Tap" file in your GoogleTap directory. Most of the core nuke block files would not require any additional .htaccess file statements as the rewriting would already be covered, but if your block is for something else, you would need to just check to make sure the URL will be written and if not, add the appropriate rewrite rule.
Regarding .4 vs. .4a, I just have not gotten time to review and install the "a" release, however, I believe Raven validated that it did not "tap"/rewrite blocks either which would still require you to hard-code changes in the block files.
One of these days, I am going to get .4a installed and place a hack out here for it or just fix GTNG myself and distribute here.
Regards... gone for the weekend. Be back Monday. |
