Hello,

I have installed this script in my site, and I a wierd problem...

I edited all of the files (except backend)

And uploaded all of the files/folders in HTML into my site. I can see all the links in my website short when I turn it on, but when I click them, they take me to 404 page.

I am currently running phpnuke 7.9... and I have edited

#
#RewriteEngine on

into

RewriteEngine on

in the .htaccess as I have seen some people do in this forums...

Please help...

Thank you.

EDIT:

I have made txt files of the edited files I have created...

Here they are.

http://eureka7extreme.net/editedfiles/config.txt
http://eureka7extreme.net/editedfiles/footer.txt
http://eureka7extreme.net/editedfiles/header.txt
http://eureka7extreme.net/editedfiles/mainfile.txt

and the htaccess file...

http://eureka7extreme.net/editedfiles/htaccess.txt

Hope this helps...

In your config file you have
$tnsl_bUseShortLinks = FALSE;
it should be
$tnsl_bUseShortLinks = True;
BUT, I have to assume it was set to false because you were getting 404 errors.

Everything else seems ok, so the only remaining issue is whether your host allows mod_rewrite on the server. Usually I would expect to see a 500 Error not a 404.
Are you certain all the html files were uploaded ok?

Follow this post here to Raven's site where he helped me long back determine if mod-rewrite was in fact enabled:

I see that I need to replicate a Sticky over here from RavenPHPScripts...

tegonuke in the following place.

/eureka7extreme.net/includes/tegonuke/shortlinks/

and the shortlinks into.

/eureka7extreme.net/ShortLinks/
