When I send a newsletter out all goes fine except for a few things..
the image for the sponsor does not show .. when checking the link to the image shows as image/advert.gif does not give full url to image.
Where do I check this ..
I can not preview the Newsletter either.. Send fine though,....
Also not saving sent Newsletters in dir..
cheers ..

Ok, let us take this one at a time:

Your banner ads must have fully qualified links to them. This is why this is happening. You will have to change this in your banners administration.

Are you getting an error message at all? Are you possibly getting the below?

ERROR IN MODULE: HTML_Newsletter

ERROR MSG: Was unable to write the newsletter file - Check that permissions on the archive directory are set to 777

If so, your modules/HTML_Newsletter/archive directory must be set as such.

Okay the permissions are the saving problem but thats another thing altogether.. nothing to do with the script..
SOme people say they only get the Newsletter in text mode not html.. what would be the reason for this.. hotmail and gmail for one..
I am testing so forwared it on would this be the cause for txt only Newsletter and not html formated ?
cheers

If you are using one of the provided templates (as apposed to the "No Template" option), then they ARE getting sent as HTML. Some email clients may have HTML turned off and I think some of the on-line ones are set up that way as well. Sometimes they have to "show HTML" or "show graphics" to get it to show completely.

Unfortunately, that is the world we live in with email clients these days due to all the security measures that have to be built in to protect us from malicious emails.

My new version (in the planning stages), will allow you to send just a link to the newsletter, to force people to "pick it up" at the web site rather than viewing it within their email client.
