The NSN GR Downloads module is a replacement download module from NukeScripts which ties into the NSN Groups functionality. The original PHP-Nuke Downloads ShortLinks files will not work with NSN GR Downloads. The "Tap" for this is complicated also by the need for a slight code change to NSN GR Downloads in order for the search function to work properly as well as a slight change in the Top module. Detailed instructions are provided in the download on how to install this. The following changes were incorporated into this new release: - 0000116: [Bug Report] Missed Submit Downloads and Add Download with NSN GR Downloads - 0000287: [Bug Report] Incorrect .htaccess line for download paging - 0000283: [Bug Report] Extra semi-colon (";") in one NSN GR Downloads tap - 0000280: [Bug Report] Extra parenthesis in NSN GR Downloads tap file
Why would someone need something like this? PHP-Nuke uses the PHP mail() function and many web hosts these days are shutting off access to this function. These hosts are now requiring authenticated SMTP. Hence the need for a replacement for PHP-Nuke's mailer functions. For a more detailed explanation of the TegoNuke(tm) Mailer and a more detailed list of features, check out the TegoNuke(tm) Mailer NukeForge page. NOTE: This has been tested on PHP-Nuke 7.6 / RavenNuke(tm) ONLY! This should work on other releases as well, but you will have to adjust the edits accordingly to your version and patch level. Please use the Forums here for support (no warranty is implied): http://montegoscripts.com/forums.html. However, if the issue ends up being in the Swift Mailer, since this is a PHP4 release, the author of Swift Mailer may be unwilling to support these issues. If you choose to use this add-on/hack, please consider making a one-time donation of $5.00 or $10.00 to help defray costs! Thank You.
Since you are reading this download description, we assume that you are considering creating shortened URLs on your PHP-Nuke site, such as those seen on this site. By way of background, the original purpose of the shortened URLs concept was to improve upon search engine crawling and indexing. The reason for this, is that search engines were having issues with crawling / indexing long, dynamically generated URLs. While this may no longer be an issue with most search engines, who knows for certain AND many people like "user friendly" links. For a complete list of current TegoNuke(tm) ShortLinks features and other project related information, visit either the TegoNuke(tm) ShortLinks project page or TegoNuke(tm) ShortLinks Wiki. Here is what is included in this new release: Bug Reports: 0000266: Fix pagination in Stories Archives showall function 0000265: Add support for removed ttitle in Reviews comments within RavenNuke(tm) 0000264: Add support for dashes and underscores in user name within Journal module 0000263: Add support for more characters in the Encyclopedia module and Web Links Search 0000262: Add support for removal of "title" in RavenNuke(tm) Downloads and Web Links 0000220: Members List pagination links were not tapped NOTE: This has been tested on PHP-Nuke 7.6 / RavenNuke(tm) ONLY! This should work on other releases as well, but you will have to adjust the edits accordingly to your version and patch level. Please use the Forums here for support (no warranty is implied): http://montegoscripts.com/forums.html On-Line Wiki-based documentation should also be available soon here: http://wiki.montegoscripts.com If you choose to use this add-on/hack, please consider making a one-time donation of $5.00 or $10.00 to help defray costs! Thank You.
This module/hack is an adaptation from Kenneth Arnold's very excellent Approve Membership module from http://www.ulsoft.scarbridge.co.uk. Why a "Lite" version? There have been numerous requests within the forums at http://ravenphpscripts as well as I had a personal need for such a "Lite" version with just the user approval piece, hence this was "born". The features that are appropriate to this "Lite" version are as follows:
  • Allows an administrator to approve membership applications.
  • The applicant's details are sent to a pendingusers table and a notification email is sent to the administrator.
  • A list of pending applicants is displayed to the administrator, who can then delete or approve as he/she thinks fit.
  • On approval, the normal email is sent to the applicant with or without the activation link.
  • The option is available to add a customizable message to this email.
  • The option is available to include the activation link or not.
  • The option is available to send a follow up email to an applicant. This email text is also customizable.
  • The option is available to send an email to a rejected applicant. This email text is also customizable.
  • Administrators can pre-approve email addresses and email domains and configure the actions to be taken by the module for semi-automation.
  • Superusers can assign admin rights to the Approve_Membership module and the Pre-Approved email addresses page.
Here is the change log for this release:
  • 0000178: [Bug Report] Spelling mistake within _TOFINISHUSER and _TOFINISHUSER1 (montego)
  • 0000244: [Enhancement] Upgrade to latest RavenNuke 2.2.0 release (montego)
  • 0000177: [Bug Report] Email activation link has & rather than & (montego)
NOTE: This module/hack is for RavenNuke(tm) 2.2.0 (also known as 2.20.00) ONLY! It will NOT work with prior releases of RavenNuke(tm), nor with any other PHP-Nuke version or fork. Theoretically, it could be adapted for other releases, but I have no plans on doing so. Please use the Forums here for support (no warranty is implied): http://montegoscripts.com/forums.html On-Line Wiki-based documentation might eventually come as well: http://wiki.montegoscripts.com If you choose to use this add-on/hack, please consider making a one-time donation of $5.00 or $10.00 to help defray costs, not to mention, keep me interested! Thank You.

Quite simply, this "hack" changes the standard PHP-Nuke page titles from having the basic site name in them, to having a more descriptive and dynamic title. Please see the DynamicTitles Project Page for the complete details of this hack. The following changes were made in this release: Enhancements: 0000091: Add support for NSN GR Downloads 0000092: Added option to use custom module name rather than the physical name 0000132: Added bodytext to hometext for News (just in case hometext is empty) 0000204: Trimmed out extra spaces to tighten up the title 0000213: Using the censor feature of phpBB, the titles still showed the words (now there is an option to use the forum censor words - default is to censor) Bug Reports: 0000185: BBCODE Stripping was also removing the underlying text 0000205: Encyclopedia list_content SQL was broken and not showing DT nodes 0000215: Thread title not showing when there are NO posts with a subject NOTE: This has been tested on PHP-Nuke 7.6 / RavenNuke(tm) ONLY! The following changes were made in this release: 0000058: Improve Performance with Using Else If Structure (thanks to Technocrat for the enhancement idea) 0000090: Replies with no Subject Causes Issues with DT (this was due to issues with some Quick Reply phpBB mods where the subject was not being valued) In addition to the above: + Enhanced a few modules to include more detailed text in the title and move descriptive text more up-front. + Additional misc performance enhancers (every ms helps) which, unfortunately, impacts code readability...
