TegoNuke(tm) ShortLinks 1.2.1 Released
Posted on Sunday, February 24, 2008 @ 09:36:34 EST in TegoNuke ShortLinks
by montego
This is strictly a bug fix release, what I call a "Maintenance" release. No new features will be added under the 1.x branch, however, as "taps" are found to be missing or in error, these will be updated for as long as these issues are found. The changes in this release are also in the upcoming RavenNuke(tm) 2.20.01 patch release.
This new release is available in the Downloads now.

TegoNuke(tm) ShortLinks 1.2.0 Released
Posted on Sunday, December 02, 2007 @ 08:36:27 EST in TegoNuke ShortLinks
by montego
A few new features have been built into ShortLinks with this new version as well as a couple of small bug fixes. A few new taps have been added and the AutoTapLinks feature now works properly. In addition, when logged in as admin and the script is run in debug mode, the admin still see at the bottom of each page a list of suggested GT and GTB tap files to create (the next logical step is to actually suggest the physical lines to add to GT/GTB and .htaccess files!).
This new release is available in the Downloads now.

TegoNuke(tm) ShortLinks 1.1.0 Released
Posted on Saturday, June 30, 2007 @ 17:47:49 EDT in TegoNuke ShortLinks
by montego
A few new features have been built into ShortLinks with this new version as well as a couple of small bug fixes. A new "Auto Tap Link" feature was added that when turned on, it will take another pass at the site HTML and find all the untapped modules.php links. It will then attempt to find a corresponding GT-<<module name>>.php script to shorten the links with. If it does not find a ShortLinks file, it will suggest to the admin at the bottom of the page that he/she might want to create a GT file for the given module (will only show to the admin and only when debug is turned on).
This new release is available in the Downloads now.

TegoNuke(tm) ShortLinks 1.0.1 Patch Released
Posted on Tuesday, May 01, 2007 @ 21:44:27 EDT in TegoNuke ShortLinks
by montego
Since RavenNuke(tm) 2.10.00 was originally released with TegoNuke(tm) ShortLinks 1.0.0, a few issues have been reported with certain "taps". This is a minor patch release to address these shortcomings for the non-RavenNukers; if you are using RavenNuke(tm) 2.10.00, the patch release to 2.10.01 will also address these shortcomings.
Visit the Shortlinks Project Page for more detailed information about this add-on/hack. You may also get the 1.0.1 download directly from the Download Page.

As always, thank you for your continued support of the community and this site,

TegoNuke(tm) ShortLinks 1.0 Released!
Posted on Saturday, September 30, 2006 @ 17:07:29 EDT in TegoNuke ShortLinks
by montego
Since finding out that Bill Murrin's GT-NExtGEn site (aka: "GoogleTap") was taken down and that he had pretty much abandoned further development for almost a year, I decided it was time for someone to take over the "care-and-feeding" of this great concept. Hence, the "birth" of TegoNuke(tm) ShortLinks.
Although the "experts" within the nuke/SEO community are divided on whether having "short URLs" really has any real affect on Search Engine crawling and ranking, this was the primary original reason for the "GoogleTap". Others just like it for better readability of the links by their human "consumers". Regardless of the reasons, nuke site owners all over have their own ideas of why they need / want this feature for their sites, and so, why not oblidge them! LOL
Visit Montego Script's Project Page for more detailed information about this add-on/hack. You may also get it directly from the Download Page.
