There Will Be No 1.4 Version of HTML Newsletter

It is with some regrets that I have to cancel my work on the 1.4 Version of HTML Newsletter!  I had made really good progress over my holiday break at the end of last year and so was hopeful to get a new release out before my February 5th deadline for PHP5, the last in the 1.x branch of this project.  However, life and other commitments have basically left me with no time to crack open the code again in the last three weeks.

I will certainly carry forward the features and functions that I had already completed as well as all the great feedback that I have received over the years in terms of desired functionality into the PHP5-only 2.x branch.  But, I am going to do a more thorough review of the Newsletter tool market in order to ensure I am capturing all of the key features that are truly needed (based upon current demand within other products).  This next release may take me two years to complete, OR, more likely, I'll phase in true OOP concepts into the HTML Newsletter and treat the 2.x branch as a "transition" branch.  In addition, the next release, 2.0, will be renamed to simply TegoNuke(tm) Newsletter to fold it in under the TegoNuke(tm) brand name like everything else.

Sorry for this, but what can one do?  There are much more important things in life such as your personal relationship with God and with your various relationships in time, such as a spouse, your family, your close friends, co-workers, etc.  Montego Scripts is just a hobby for me.

Regards,
montego

Well I for one am happy to wait :)
When you say you intend to review other Newsletter tools were you referring to newsletter tools in general or those available specifically for nuke?

Ok. Change of plans again. I might as well complete what I have started as I was almost 50% of the way through the new release already. Progress will be slow going, but I'll keep plugging away at it when I have time.
